Jeff Belford, Managing Director

Jeff joined TriWest in 2003 at the inception of Fund II. From 2000 to 2003 he was CFO of Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company Inc., a former TriWest portfolio company. Jeff brings significant financial and operating expertise as a senior executive of a company that experienced great success and was subsequently listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as an Income Trust. From 1996 to 2000 Jeff was Director of Finance & Operations for Descente North America, an international sportswear company. Jeff received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

 
 
 

Cody Church, Managing Director

Cody co-founded TriWest in 1998. From 1995 to 1997 he was with EXOR America, a New York-based private equity firm. Prior to joining EXOR, Cody was a member of the Leveraged Finance Group of Credit Suisse First Boston where he worked with financial buyers in areas of acquisition and divestiture, high yield bonds, IPOs and refinancings. Cody graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Economics from Harvard University.

 
 
 

Lorne Jacobson, Managing Director

Lorne co-founded TriWest in 1998. From 1994 to 1998 he served as Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel of Burns Foods Limited. He was responsible for a variety of corporate acquisitions, divestitures and financings as part of the management team for this leading Canadian food company. Prior to Burns Foods, Lorne was a partner in the Calgary office of the national law firm of Bennett Jones where he specialized in corporate and securities law. He serves as an officer or director of a number of public and private companies and charitable organizations.

 
 
 

Ron Jackson

Ron co-founded TriWest in 1998. He is an investor in all three TriWest funds and continues to be active with Fund I portfolio companies. Prior to TriWest, he was President and CEO of Burns Foods Limited.

 
 
 

Chad Danard, Vice President

Chad joined TriWest in 2005. He previously worked in Morgan Stanley's Global Energy and Utility Group in New York and in the Canada Group in Toronto as an analyst and associate. While at Morgan Stanley, Chad was involved in a variety of M&A-related strategic advisory assignments, equity offerings and private and public debt financings. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (finance concentration) from the Queen's School of Business, where he graduated with the Gold Medal.

 
 
 

Ryan Giles, Vice President

Prior to joining TriWest in 2006, Ryan was an associate with Onex Corporation. At Onex, Ryan was actively involved in evaluating and conducting due diligence for new investment opportunities for Onex Partners Fund 1. Previously, he worked in the Canada Group of Morgan Stanley and was involved in various M&A and financing related assignments. Ryan received a Honours Business Administration with distinction, Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and an A.B., Economics and Math, Bowdoin College.

 
 
 

Brenda Weiss, Vice President, Finance and Administration

Brenda joined TriWest in 2003. She was previously a Senior Manager with KPMG, an international professional services and accounting firm, where she provided assurance and business advisory services to a wide array of entrepreneurial clients. Brenda is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.

 
 
 

Jon Spencer, Analyst

Jon joined TriWest in 2007. Prior to joining TriWest, Jon worked as an analyst at RBC Capital Markets where he was involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions assignments and equity financings. Jon graduated with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

   
   
   

Chris Borowski, Analyst

Prior to joining TriWest in 2008, Chris was a trading analyst with Ross Smith Capital Group L.P., a relative value hedge fund. At Ross Smith, Chris was involved in the development of quantitative security selection strategies, construction of transaction quality spreadsheet models, and trading execution since inception of the Fund in 2007. Previously, he worked as an analyst at RBC Capital Markets where he was involved in a variety of energy focused M&A and equity financings. Chris graduated with first class standing from the University of Alberta from the Faculty of Engineering with specialization in Petroleum Engineering.
